1. Introduction & Eligibility

Purpose: SCN provides an online platform to match high school student volunteers with community members in need.
Eligibility: Users must be high school students (with guardian consent if under 18) or community members requesting help.
 
2. User Conduct (Code of Conduct & Participation Policies)

All users—especially student volunteers—must uphold the following standards:

Respect & Professionalism: Treat all participants with courtesy, kindness, and maturity.

Punctuality & Communication: Arrive on time or notify in advance of any delays.

Safety: Follow instructions, ask for help if needed, and never perform tasks beyond your ability.

Confidentiality: Keep personal information and details of service requests private.

​Commitment: Honor scheduled volunteer sessions and complete agreed-upon tasks.

Consequences: Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from SCN.
 
3. Liability Disclaimer

By using SCN services, you acknowledge and agree that:
SCN and its organizers, officers, and volunteers are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during volunteer activities.
You assume all risks associated with participation in any volunteer work or help received.
​You release and hold harmless SCN, its student volunteers, and organizers from any claims or liabilities arising from volunteer services or help requests.

4. Governing Law & Amendments

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
We may update these Terms; we will notify users via email or site notice.
